Professional growth

  • Our staff has many opportunities to advance their careers. The main factor holding anybody back is just how fast they are able to learn the technical and other skills necessary for their next step.
  • We have experienced steady growth of 10-15% per year. This opens up the door for staff to move into senior and manager roles.
  • Our senior and manager staff primarily comes from within our own staff. 

Learning environment

  • The learning really never stops, no matter how many years of experience we have.
  • All professional staff completes at least the minimum 40 hours of required CPE each year. Many of us do 60+ CPE hours to cover both audit and tax.
  • During our slower seasons, we provide weekly internal training courses to review common tax and audit rules.
  • All staff is strongly encouraged to seek advice from managers and partners, and to meet in person to discuss technical issues. Our partners' doors are always open to questions.

Work/life balance

  • Professional staff members typically work 2,080 or 2,200 hour per year contracts or less.
  • Hours worked over standard 40/45 hour workweek are accumulated as comp time - hours we can draw on to take time off outside of tax season.
  • Our offices are typically closed on Fridays from May through November -- a great opportunity for three day weekends in the summer and fall.

  • No mandatory Saturday work arrangements.

Staying local

  • We primarily focus on clients in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming.
  • There is minimal to no overnight or long- distance travel
